The Pyramid of the Moon

Mural Art

The Moche craftsmen achieved great technological and aesthetic development, as evidenced by the excellent quality and beauty of their carvings and mural paintings.

But it is also evident in their pottery and in their ornaments of metal, wood, textiles, and other materials that they worked with. They have been considered by researchers to be the best potters and goldsmiths of pre-Colombian America. Some of these pieces can be seen in the Moche Pyramids Museum, opened in June 2010.
